Multiple Drug Resistance Salmonella and Antibiotic Residues in Egyptian Animal Products
نویسندگان
چکیده
Food of animal origin is considered a primary source foodborne diseases. The misuse antibiotics to treat and control many bacterial diseases in farm animals has led multiple antibiotic-resistant pathogens contaminated food that can seriously threaten public health. present study aimed highlight the impact antimicrobial Egyptian beef meat, poultry, dairy farms on emergence antibiotic resistance Salmonella detection residues milk. A total 1050 samples were collected randomly from poultry (liver, intestinal content, bone marrow), milk products different governorates. Salmonellae isolated subjected sensitivity testing through disk diffusion test using most commonly used seven veterinary fields (cefradine, ciprofloxacin, oxytetracycline, erythromycin, amoxicillin, ampicillin, streptomycin). oxytetracycline residue was performed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Most drug resistant with an incidence rate 8.6%, 15.4%, 4% meat-associated products, milk-associated respectively, Antibiogram showed at 100%, 31.4%, 43%, amoxicillin 73.3%, 31%, 50%, ampicillin 66.6%, 57%, respectively. No ciprofloxacin detected isolates all samples. Using HPLC, In conclusion, more attention should be paid connection between widespread Egypt overuse antimicrobials dairy, meat farms. This affects consumer health increases likelihood genes spreading species.

Molecular characterization and antibiotic resistance profiles of Salmonella isolated from fecal matter of domestic animals and animal products in Nairobi
BACKGROUND Salmonella has significant public health implications causing food borne and zoonotic diseases in humans. Treatment of infections due to Salmonella is becoming difficult due to emergence of drug resistant strains. There is therefore need to characterize the circulating non-typhoidal Salmonella (NTS) serovars in domestic animals and animal products in Kenya as well as determine their ...

Antibiotic resistance of Shigella and Salmonella bacteria in children with acute diarrhea
Background: Diarrhea with salmonella and shigella infections is one of the main causes of mortality in children less than 5 years. Determining the antibiotic resistance of these bacteria is one of the most important methods in the treatment of diarrhea. This study was performed to evaluate antibiotic resistance of Salmonella and Shigella pathogenic bacteria in children with acute diarrhea refer...
متن کاملVeterinary Drug Residues in Food-animal Products: Its Risk Factors and Potential Effects on Public Health
The use of veterinary drugs in food-producing animals has the potential to generate residues in animal derived products (meat, milk, eggs and honey) and poses a health hazard to the consumer. There are many factors influencing the occurrence of residues in animal products such as drug’s properties and their pharmacokinetic characteristics, physicochemical or biological processes of animals and ...
